Direct selling is a retail channel used by top global brands as well as some smaller companies who exercise entrepreneurial skills to market products and services to consumers. Source WFDSA (World Federation of Direct Selling Association)

This channel has many unique features and differs from the broader retail market. Direct selling is an opportunity for entrepreneurial minded people to become business owners with hardly any start-up capital needed. Members and consultants work on forging good personal relationships with prospective customers.

When you take note of the international statistics and become aware of the business you are involved in, it can give you confidence to share some of the statistics when introducing others to the business. Memorize some of the stats and as you refer to them others will be impressed with your overall knowledge of the industry.
